Post Chronicles of a Unreal RRoD
I have gotten a RRoD recently while playing my Zune on it. I already called up support and my coffin is on the way. I am gonna make this post like a timeline of my experience... Enjoy!

3:00 PM PST 6/13/08 DAY 1
My 360 RRoDs and immediately talks to MS support. The process was pretty much painless and outsourced person understood everything I asked.

5:45 PM PST 6/13/08 DAY 1
Called up MS Support because I had some questions.

Q: "If I were to get my 360 working [via towel trick, etc.], can I hold the box, wait until my 360 red rings again, and when it does just send it off using the same service number?"
A: "Once you have received the box, you will have about 20 days to send the product back, once the 20 days have gone by, the service number becomes inactive. However if you experience the red ring of death after the 20 days, you can set up another repair service and use the same box, however, you must contact MS first."

Q: "How is the warranty going to work?"
A: "Once you have your replacement 360, you have a new 90 day limited warranty, and you have the remainder of the 3 year red ring warranty."

Q: "Is it possible to get a new 360 out of the shelf?"
A: "We will either repair your current Xbox 360, or send another Xbox 360 to you, there is no guarantee that you will get a new Xbox 360 out of the shelf. There are people that want the newer models, such as the ones that have the HDMI capability. However, you can't have the newer model 360. Whatever model of Xbox 360 you send to us, you will get the same exact model, but with newer hardware, etc."

*Note: The Q&A between MS was also painless, agent understood everything and I got everything that she said. Also, I DID NOT say that I used the towel trick, that "[...]" thing tells you that I added something extra to the question.

9:37 PM PST 6/13/08 DAY 1

At this time, I receive a email from UPS about a shipment from MS, obviously about the coffin.

In the Email I got...
    Tracking Number
ETA on package [June 17th 2008]
    5 Reference Numbers!

When tracking number was checked on ups.com, the status on my package is currently at "Billing Information Recieved" meaning that the box actually has not been sent off yet, but they know about the package.

Assuming that the package is going to be sent of on Monday, June 16th 2008, the shipment method is either "Next Day Delivery" or "2nd Day Air".

Early Morning, 6/14/08, DAY 2
Check on service.xbox.com shows that we are on step two, basically saying that they are waiting for my console to show up at their repair center.

While taking my ACT, 6/14/08, DAY 2
A email from MS lands into my inbox telling me the ways I can send my console. This email includes the tracking number for my pre-paid box.

At some point in the day, 6/15/08, DAY 3
Bordom sets in, I have resorted to watching TNT, NBA, and Nickelodeon... I have also managed to kill some time downloading songs and podcasts for my zune, then listening and/or viewing them.

Try doing even more productive things, such as posting on a forum...*hint hint* or get Halo CE for the PC. It gets kinda old but somewhat fun. As for my RROD, I just bugged the Best Buy staff until they took my old one and instantly gave me a new one. :P
